Service Manager
The Service Manager is a full time position responsible for all aspects of the Sabino Cycles service department operations as well as the quality of repairs of service staff. They will be part of the store’s management team and participate in all areas of the business working towards Sabino Cycles’ overall success.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain service workflow, manage and motivate service staff to meet the demands of repairs
- Design, implement and improve service department hard-space for efficiency and growth of service opportunities
- Establish, implement and maintain service department policies, procedures and standards. Ensure high level of quality control of department work
- Manage service special orders, warranties and supplies
- Manage scheduling of work and repairs. Ensure appropriate staffing levels for current workloads
- Hiring and training new technicians as well as overseeing continuing education of current technicians.
- Repair, upgrade and maintain customer bikes. Build and maintain bikes for retail floor
- Maintain cleanliness of service dept
- Ensure clear communication between service and sales teams
Who Should Apply
- 5 years of bicycle mechanic experience
- 3 years of retail experience
- Up to date training on current common bicycle technologies
- Basic computer skills including Office suite, Excel and point of sale systems. LightspeedPOS experience a plus
- Enjoy working in a fast paced, rider centric, work environment
- Good communicator with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Love sharing cycling with anyone who will listen.
- Must have imagination and desire to improve and grow service department

Senior Service Technician
The Senior Service Technician is a full time position for experienced, skilled mechanics who desire to constantly elevate their work and the work of their coworkers to provide the best customer experience possible. This position will help oversee the training, development and quality of work of themselves and their fellow technicians. They will serve as a leader in the service department both in store and in the community.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Be the primary contact for riders to service dept. Consult with riders on maintenance/customization needs, current and future
- Manage service special orders, warranties and supplies
- Help implement and maintain service department policies, procedures and standards. Ensure high level of quality control of department work
- Stay up to date with relevant vendor trainings. Train or arrange continued technical training for all service staff
- Lead service department when service manager is not available.
- Check in/check out customer bikes
- Run cash register (when needed)
- Repair, upgrade and maintain customer bikes. Build and maintain bikes for retail floor
- Maintain cleanliness of service dept
- Suspension repair and tuning in house
- Run point on in-shop and out-of-shop activities, such as classes, home visits for repair and events.
- Other duties as assigned

Service Technician
The Service Technician is a part time or full time position for experienced mechanics who are organized, self-motivated, and professionally compassionate. Must be able to assimilate into a new work team and environment quickly. Would prefer someone who sees this as a career.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Repair, upgrade, and maintain customer bikes.
- Check in/Check out customer bikes
- Run cash register (when needed)
- Maintain cleanliness of service dept.
- Assist with in-shop and out-of-shop activities such as classes, home visits for repair, and events.
- Build and maintain bikes for the shop floor
- Stay up to date with relevant vendor trainings
- Monitor stock (cycle counts) and report to service leads to ensure inventory needs
- Run the service center during the weekends.
- Other duties as assigned
Who Should Apply
- 1+ years of bicycle mechanic experience
- Up to date training on most common bicycle technologies
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, Point of sale systems (Lightspeed POS experience a plus)
- Enjoy working in a fast paced, rider centric work environment
- Good communicator with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Love sharing cycling with anyone who will listen
